A driven young man. While he doesn’t have the absolute faith that drives his countrymen forward, he has a quiet passion that burns for the duty he was born into and the people he was raised to protect. He is someone who will do what he can because he must.

With that drive comes blindness to his own faults and his introspection never quite seems to touch that he could be wrong. He knows best, after all, so why would he try and discuss anything? He’s already made his choice and so has everyone else.

He just wants to be the best person he can be for both himself and his family, even though this drive can just easily bowl over those same people he wants to be the best for.

History

Born the only officially recognized child to the current Vidamesse Lévesque and her husband, Searlas was taught from an early age about his responsibilities to the land and he people around it. He was a noble, after all, and that meant that he would one day bear the fates of all the common folks that called the Lévesque Vidamie home on his shoulders- and if he let them down then… it’d reflect poorly on the already slightly tarnished reputation of the Lévesque.

After all, they’d already had two generations of courtly appearances that had been less than ideal, what with his grandfather being pulled into the title after being third in line- and then his mother’s fraternizing with a commoner wood elf that had resulted in his bastard elder sister.

While it was never told to him in so many words, he wasn’t deaf or blind- he knew that people talked and he’d been on the receiving end of his mother’s fussy preening enough times to understand that he was, in many ways, the Lévesque’s last chance of being taken seriously in noble courts. Elves had long lives, and even longer memories. Therefore, at the ripe old age of ten, he made a promise to himself- he’d do everything he could to be someone that wouldn’t worry his mother or father any more than they had already. He wouldn’t let people call his sister a mistake of his mothers- no, he’d make them praise her for being related to the honorable Lévesque name when he brought it back to the forefront of Delvan politics.

Or at least, that was the plan until a former human came into Delverne and proceeded to turn the entire place into a dangerous cult of personality. And have them drink magic juice that lit their heads on fire. And then have them turn into literal angels.

He’s not so sure he wants to be involved in Delvan Politics anymore.

Current Story

As the soldiers returned from marching on the Citadel with materials for weapons and arms gifted to them by Aurea's generals themselves, Searlas couldn't help but feel that this was no longer the easy and just holy war that he'd been told it was. The magic that kept the sun constantly in the sky had faded, and all of the ascended had gone searching for their so-called great goddess. But that was far off, along the coast. Until, very much so, it wasn't, and war came to Delverne's doors.

He fought as best he could, throwing everything he had at this new force- only for his home to violently explode as the wrath of the great god Therras brought Delverne lower than it had ever been before despite the summoning of a great and terrible power that cost the conciousness of one of Delverne's greatest. His home was gone.

He lived in the ground now.

Additional Info

Has an elder sister in Carine Donadeiu. They’ve met a few times, and while he’s uncertain of anything but what he’s seen with his own eyes, he thinks that she wasn’t a bad person. She would have made a good heir.

He likes horses and pegasi, preferring to spend time with them when given a choice. He’s gone sparkly eyed over the dragons that the Kingdom has but is wise enough to keep such thoughts to himself.
