23 June - 20 July 2025
With the new year celebrations over, it is time for students to return to their classes for another year of learning. In Estraude and Miras, this marks the start of the exchange program between the newly reopened Academy of the Arcane and the Church College. The program, fully funded by Estraude, allows scholars and students to reside and study at the two partnered institutions. Its main focus is to study the ancient artefacts pulled from the Viyanaru Caves, the mangrove otherworld and the Ziggurat in hopes of uncovering Estraude's many mysteries. The influx of foreign academics quickly leads to more than this though - seizing the opportunity to trade all kinds of knowledge and make new connections, departments open their doors for guest lectures, short courses, exhibitions, and shameless student recruitment events.
In Estraude, the new arrivals are greeted with colourful ceremonies, fiery food and - of course - torrential rains. During the day, the fragile artefacts and monstrous specimens are theirs to study, while in the evening, the Kingdomers make themselves at home in the Church College dormitories. Based right in the heart of the capital, Estran culture, food and foliage are never too far away.
In Miras, the Estran guests disembark into a crisp winter unlike anything in the rainforest. Soft snow powders the gardens of the Academy campus, where they are welcomed warmly by their Kingdom peers - many of them old acquaintances from before Estraude's neutrality. Here they will stay, attend workshops, peruse the libraries and see the sights of the fairytale-like city in their ample spare time.
