Dominion

The Kingdom has been split. With both sides backed by powerful militaries and adamant that they are the true Miras Kingdom, neither can make a move. An uneasy stalemate emerges.

Unable to touch the East for now, especially with Delverne still harrying Cantish borders, West Miras deals with the traitors within itself. The Academy of the Arcane is shut down and taken over by the crown, its campus converted into a military research facility. Searches and interrogations unfold for the rebels who did not escape east. Schools and libraries, now scrutinised as potential breeding places of treason, remove subjects they deem 'too dangerous'. And the palace clarifies that while some of the White Oracles have indeed simply lost their prophetic powers, others have not, instead dissolving in holy flames after their final vision. The former are sent to live safely in Cantor Abbey and the latter are kept under close watch in the palace.

Meanwhile in East Miras, a hard-won survival and alliance is celebrated. Amedra opens its doors again to ships from Song-Lu and Linhythe and, although little expense can be spared, street festivals of casual drink and dance are thrown to welcome their new Empire allies. Imperial Navy ships, finally here as friends instead of enemies, dock alongside the Armada. The stolen Oracles have their freedom returned and those who escaped from the Academy are given boarding at various schools. Although their challenges are far from over, something exciting is beginning here.
