Tusa

Honour of Mareus

30 Aug - 13 Sep 2015

It is time for the annual festival celebrating Tusa's foundation and the goddess Mareus. Preparations for the week long celebration, famous across the Empire for it’s colorful and ecstatic spirit, have been made and the the inner city is draped in colorful banners and flowers.

However the mood seems to be more tense than jubilant. It hasn’t been a good year for the city of travelers, politically and economically. The prisons are overflowing, the soldiers are faced with frequent quarrels amongst themselves and dozens are under strict house arrest. Meanwhile, the wealthy hoard their possessions and close themselves off in their parts of the city, and the poor find less and less resources available to them for survival. The feelings of civil unrest against the Yazgur are strong and the underground Revolutionary groups are gaining momentum.

Rumors are going around that the Revolutionaries are planning to infiltrate the prison tower and free their allies from captivity. The Yazgur is drawing her defenses closer and stronger. The Military is omnipresent, as are the Revolutionaries' green sashes. Despite the lingering sense of threat and tension, people try to make the best of it and celebrate to the fullest of their capabilities, like they always have.
