Miracle
17 Jun - 7 Jul 2018
A fervour is building in Delverne. For over a year now, the word on Delvan tongues has been that Aurea's coming is near and so too is the age of light elves. No clearer is this than now - for this Month of Flowers, Her miracles begin.
Dominus Salvai works six miracles over six days from the 16th. On the first, he goes out to the monasteries and in each one cures a cripple; the blind see, the deaf hear and the mute speak. On the second, golden snakes emerge from all over to gather at his feet and accompany him to the palace as sacred beasts. On the third, he revives into lush white flower a long-dead tree that stands monument to Delverne's founding. On the fourth, he draws a holy sword from a statue of their greatest warrior Varandis, for the coming of a new hero. On the fifth, he calls forth a spring of holy ambrosia at the heart of Delverne Cathedral; with it the sick return to health and the strong are blessed with vitality beyond their limits.
On the sixth, Day of Blossoming and Aurea's solstice, comes his final miracle. He takes White Oracle Triss into the deepest sanctum of Delverne Cathedral, and in a flood of golden light transforms her. She emerges to the waiting crowd alone, no longer a mere human but one of them - a light elf. She carries Salvai's final words: He has returned to Aurea, and the order of the Dominus is no more. Delverne will from here be guided by Aurea Herself, through her now fully-fledged vessel and saviour on Alva, Triss the Oracle of Delverne. The Goddess is with them, and She will lead them all to salvation.
