Red Letters

1 Mar - 14 Mar 2015

The Day of Forgiveness has passed quietly in Alva; while many ills and tensions of the past year are still unresolved, people throughout the Kingdom have been trying to regain normalcy in their lives through the near-war atmosphere. In tune with these feelings, the Duchess of Amedra has made a bold announcement: to compensate for the loss of communications since last year and allow ‘everyone the chance to reach out and say the things they should’, all public postal services in Amedra will be free of charge for the next two weeks - including deliveries to the Empire.

Crimson ropes have been strung across all the streets around the main post office, upon which every manner of letter may be hung for collection - sealed, open, anonymous, unaddressed. The skies of Amedra quickly become a flurry of delivery birds and pegasi, while in the sea countless, coloured glass bottles glitter as the unaddressed letters are sealed in them and set free to fate and the ocean currents. Regardless of how gesture-like this is, these Red Letter weeks are a chance to find peace for oneself, even if Alva itself cannot.

Features: Letters, cards, origami and papercraft, ribbons, pigeons, small pegasi, glass bottles
Colours: Red, pink, tan, white (usual colours of Amedran paper)
