Sit for a Yarn

23 June - 20 July 2025

Winter brings the first real test to Carmena's readiness as a fully-fledged town. Although the southern provinces of Miras never snow, it is still colder here than the gentle hills of Cantor. The Month of Frost ushers in its namesake early this year as well, leaving icy dew on windows and eaves.

Fortunately, many people have poured their efforts into making Carmena as sturdy and reliable as possible. The houses are dry, firewood and food are stocked, and the fields lie ready for spring. Surely they have prepared everything... until a few too many folk go looking for an extra pair of socks, and can't find any. The realisation dawns that, without years of accumulated junk in their attics, Carmena doesn't actually have enough spare clothing for all.

News travels quickly and soon enough, generous donations of wool and cotton arrive on Carmena's doorstep. The Cantish roll up their sleeves, brandish their knitting needles and sit around the fire with friends. Together they knit and sew up a storm, turning the work into social gatherings filled with chatter, laughter and much warmth.

Features: All manner of knitted garments, colourful yarn, chairs around fireplaces, tea and hot chocolate, children being measured for clothing, burly farmers looking a bit useless in the background
