Diamond Sky

29 Jan - 11 Feb 2017

The Month of Mirrors begins in an extraodinary way this year. Glittering specks fall from the sky, but this is no rain or snow - people quickly rush undercover as sharp shards hit their skin... this is a gemstone hail! Gems rain down on a curved strip that crosses mostly through Koben and Tusa, but also brushes the edges of Linhythe and northern Bratkowice. In fact it seems to be a ring centered around Reluir... where mysterious glowing clouds have engulfed the Reign at the site of the mid-Souls superstorm. They seem harmless at the moment, but they are strange and meteorologists will have their eyes on them.

Whatever the origins, Empire locals have a rare and beautiful phenomenon on their doorsteps. Hail gems of many colours - mostly light, clear pastels - build up on streets, roofs and gardens. Breaks in the weather see many spill out of their shelters to collect this unique treasure. The majority are shattered or too small to be worth much, but among the shrapnel there are some valuable ones for the dedicated. It's a gift from the heavens for wind mages and the poor, of great interest for levitation alchemy, and a pretty curiosity for everyone else.

Features: Multicoloured gems raining from the sky, glowing clouds around Reluir, Iadlain and Bratkowice, smashed windows and dented carriages, distraught carriage owners
