The stalemate at the Veron lengthens, and the dust begins to settle on the changes - and new actions - this will mean for the Kingdom.

Delverne now possesses Miras's biggest pegasus farms - a blow but not a crippling one with Silvan's revival of dragon-riding. Now the Flight Regiment's turn towards dragons will become sharper than ever, while Delverne has the means to amass great flying forces of their own. In the palace, Silvan has become possessive of the White Oracles after Triss's defection. He is determined that they will be kept firmly in safety - and under control - as he quashes word that Triss declared Delvans the true Blessed ones before she left.

Cantor is meanwhile in the midst of a greater religious shakeup than ever expected. The Abbey will have to shuffle roles again, with Alvreise and several senior monks defected to Delverne. Those that are left must come together to form a foundation for their new, Cantish branch of worship. Little will really change as precedent is strong, but all are keen to exercise this new form of autonomy. Fervent groups of loyalists gather to support Cantish Aureanism.

At the same time, it has been slowly coming to light that Delverne is seeking entry to the Leywood and its mysteries, with little regard to its sanctity. It is now a race - for Delverne to reach its secret goal, and for the Kingdom to stop them and their desecration of a sacred forest.*
