Fire Alit

The Miras Kingdom has just survived an attack from the Koben military. In Amedra there is jubilation at the retreat of Empire forces; in Belport not so much but there is a feeling of grim relief that the attackers have left. After the giddiness of success however, it is time to  assess the damage and begin on the recovery. Both cities are greatly damaged; there are casualties to be cared for and facilities to rebuild. All Kingdom cities send their support and make moves to reassess defenses in light of the battle, as does Estraude with healers from the Circle of the Wreath and Delverne with helpers from the Templars.

In Amedra, the Old Docks have been worst hit. The areas closest to the market plaza have been ravaged, and many businesses and homes have been lost. The mood is relatively high here though - they have just had a victory worth boasting about, and the Duchess has delivered a rousing speech on their united strength after emerging from her own healing efforts. Pubs all over Amedra give free food and drink to those involved in the battle. In Belport, the atmosphere is one of grim determination to get down to work and return stronger. Members of the Belport Performing Arts Society give free performances for all to raise morale.

Elsewhere, people turn their thoughts to war preparations should their own cities be targeted next. The upper echelons of the military and their consultants in particular are in a frenzy of planning on how to conquer the war. In the aftermath of the first battle, a fire has been lit throughout the Kingdom.
